b. What was the most challenging aspect of applying the F-Pattern and Plain English writing principles? How did you overcome it? (5 Marks)
The F-patten encourages writers to position and space out their content to match the pattern. I felt that the F-pattern made it difficult to boil certain ideas down to 1 or 2 sentences, but motivated me to utilize my writing space as effectively and efficiently as possible, including the most important information in the space I could utilize. As for Plain English writing, I sometimes found it difficult to find simplified versions of words or terms. To get around this difficulty, I chose to rewrite some of my content with new, simplified wording. This took more work than simply replacing words, but allowed my sentences to be shortened and overall much more simplified, making it easier and more readable to my audience.
